As mama who LOVES her job and even more importantly motherhood I am so grateful to be able the opportunity to never miss out on raising my kiddo.

My number one goal:

It was a goal of mine to go without (if we had to) just to make sure I was able to stay at home to raise my little girl. I knew in my heart it was something I'd never regret doing.

After suddenly losing my steady corporate 9-5 job I had to make a choice. As scared as I was at the time, I chose freedom and flexibility that came with a career in photography. Not only did this allow me an identity outside of motherhood but it allowed me bring in the income we desperately needed to support our family.

My story.

After losing my job as a marketer for a title company over a decade ago I refused to go back to working a traditional 9-5 job. That world made me feel in shackled to a life that wasn't mine. Even though I was terrified to do something different since I didn't have a college degree to fall back on I knew what I had was wayyyyy better and could get me further ahead in life than any degree I had on my resume. What I had was determination, grit and work ethic.

Fast forward 12 years later and you'll find a happy, free, successful entrepreneur who gets giddy the morning with the thought of going work. Even if you told me I could retire tomorrow I'd still keep working because I LOVE my job.

It's provided me with support as the sole breadwinner to be able to take care of my family while my husband searched for and found his career. All while being able to stay at home and raise our daughter in the ways I could only dream of doing with a traditional, 9-5 job.

Even if I had millions in the bank I'd still be the poorest, most broke person on earth without my family. I TRULY BELIEVE FAMILY IS EVERYTHING! The irony is that it's also the reason for my drive for success! Somedays I think running a photography business is the easy part. The true challenge is the balance you must maintain in order to enjoy your success.
