Easiest Salsa Recipe
One of my favorite things at any good Mexican restaurant is their homemade salsa. I feel like it's what sets most places apart from the rest. It's also another reason why when we make Mexican food at home a quick homemade salsa is a must.
I was running behind one night as I was preparing dinner and decided to elevate some canned salsa by adding fresh ingredients. After making it over and over again, perfecting the recipe I introduced it to friends, family, and even brought it to parties. Again and again I would get huge compliments on this salsa. If only they knew how ridiculously easy it was to make.
Ingrediants
- 3 small cans of your favorite salsa. I use La Costena
- 2-3 jalapeños (depending on your heat tolerance)
- A handful of fresh Cilantro (to taste)
- 1 small lime squeezed the juice
- teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 medium size white union
- tajin to taste (the secret sauce ingredient) I probably use 1-1.5 teaspoons
Directions:
Combined all of the above ingredients. I like to dice the onion and jalapeños so that they are easier to blend. Add all of ingredients to a food processor and blend to desired consistency.
